Solargraf is Enphase’s design, proposal and permitting software, built for US residential installers and now pushing into commercial work. Its site leads with proposal and permit counts and a permit database that covers tens of thousands of US jurisdictions. Solset AI is an operating system for the EPC: the design is one stage of a record that goes on to procurement, installation, invoicing and service.
Where Solargraf is ahead
- US permitting: auto-stringing, single-line diagrams in PDF and DWG, and plan sets checked against jurisdiction data, with PE stamp reviews on demand. Solset AI produces an SLD and a structural report but has no permitting product for any country.
- The Enphase ecosystem: sites and panel layouts flow into Enphase’s monitoring platform. Solset AI has no inverter-vendor integration of that kind.
- Financing in the proposal: lease, loan and prepaid options from partner lenders. Solset AI shows the customer the economics but embeds no lender offers.
- A monthly webinar programme and a large help centre.
Where Solset AI is ahead
- Scope after the sale: purchase orders matched three ways to receipts and bills, warehouse stock, crews and site updates, invoices with country-specific tax, receivables ageing, service contracts. Solargraf’s management page lists dealer networks, adder libraries and permissions.
- No project caps: Solargraf’s plans cap projects per year and charge per extra project and per extra user. Solset AI prices per workspace with a free plan; the design allowance scales by plan and single designs can be bought one at a time.
- Self-serve: a free workspace in minutes, instead of a scheduled demo.
- Any country: Solargraf’s permitting and tariffs are US-only. Solset AI bills in dollars or rupees and switches Indian rules on only for Indian workspaces.
Pricing, side by side
Solargraf publishes annual plans only: $2,799 a year (240 projects, 2 users), $4,799 (480 projects, 4 users), $6,399 (720 projects, 6 users) and $12,999 (1,500 projects, unlimited users), with extra projects at $9 to $11 each, extra users at $960 to $1,440 a year, and API access at $4,000 a year below Enterprise. No trial. Figures are from the competitor’s own website, read on 8 October 2026; check their pricing page before relying on them.
Solset AI prices per workspace, not per user: a plan covers the company, extra seats are an add-on, and the Free plan never expires and needs no card. Subscriptions are billed in rupees or dollars, and the Design Studio can also be used one roof at a time with pay-per-design credits. Every figure is on the plans page, where it is read from the live catalogue rather than typed into a blog post.
Who should choose which
If you install in the US, sell Enphase and need permit packages at volume, Solargraf is built for exactly that. If you need the design to become an order, a schedule and an invoice without re-entering anything, and you would rather not count projects, Solset AI is the better fit.
If Solargraf fits the way you sell, use it; the point of this post is that you can decide from the facts. If the job after the proposal is where your margin leaks, start a free Solset workspace, add one real enquiry and take it to a quotation. Our other comparisons are on the compare page.
